Repurposed T-shirt

Thanks to Pinterest I now have a way to actually wear all of those mission trip and retreat t-shirts I have accumulated over the past 7 years in youth ministry. Here is the blog link with the tutorial.

It took me 15 minutes start to finish, I have a stack of shirts that I am gonna do this to- I am not a boxy t-shirt wearer.

Welcome

I recently made this out of old pallets we have sitting around:

 I saw the idea on Pinterest, tweeked the words a little...
 ... spent a few weeks, slowly as time allowed stenciling...
 ... until voila!
The sign that greets you as you enter the entryway in our home.

I love to create.

Ok so I am currently on a scarf kick- could be that i just bought 4 yards of $1/yard fabric just screaming SCARF!! Scarf #3

Moving on from scarves I found a super cute t-shirt idea over here

Homemade Holiday Day 1

Day 1 of Homemade Holidays is complete and I think successful.

Six ladies showed up and we sewed,
cut,
ripped fabric for a mummy costume,
fed babies,
held babies,
ran after babies,
searched the internet for projects,
baked cookies,
ate Chick-fil-A,
ripped open seams,
laughed
and we were reminded that we are each wonderfully created by God.

Psalm 139:13-15
13 For you created my inmost being;
   you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
   your works are wonderful,
   I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
   when I was made in the secret place,
   when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.

We're off next week but after that we're steady until Christmas!!
Happy Homemade Holidays everyone!!

Flowers Everywhere

Once I made one of these I couldn't stop, I found the pattern here, and checked it off my Homemade Holiday list here.

I'm not even really a flower wearer, but I am becoming one :)
